Professor Kim Daasbjerg Receives Else Kai Sass Award
Professor and CORC principal investigator Kim Daasbjerg has received the first ever Else Kai Sass Award for his outstanding achievements in collaboration, innovation, and research communication.
CORC principal investigator and research group leader Professor Kim Daasbjerg has received the first ever Else Kai Sass Award for his outstanding achievements.
He has established three research centers, two companies, and promoted teaching and knowledge sharing both within and outside the university. In the dean's recommendation, he is described as an academic entrepreneur.
Kim Daasbjerg has initiated the Open Science initiative to facilitate collaboration between the university and Danish industry, leading to successful partnerships. He is also involved in spin-outs like RadiSurf and Danish Graphene and has organized events such as Brainnovation Day and entrepreneurship hackathons. He emphasizes the importance of openness, collaboration, and sharing knowledge.
He is a principal investigator in CORC, where his work focuses on electrochemical CO2 reduction.
The award includes a cash prize of DKK 60,000 and is given by the Aarhus University Anniversary Foundation in honor of Else Kai Sass, the first female professor at the university, who was known for sharing her knowledge.
